Community Report of May 2026!

Hello everyone, today I’m writing a new blog to inform you about the current situation.

Public release of the 3.1.0

The 3.1.0 has been in test in the experimental branch for a while now. I should release it in public this week-end if no problem is found in the meantime.

If you didn’t read any of the patch notes, expect changes and new content about the Lorebook. Also, if you published lorebooks (or scenarios with lorebook inside) on the Steam Workshop before the 2.0 you should update them as they won’t be working anymore.

The tenth sprint

I started a new sprint to hunt bugs and experiment a new way to speed up once again the text generation. This sprint should end around June.

What’s coming next ?

Improvement of the UI

I already reworked the interface once. I think it’s better than it used to be but one thing is sure: I’m not an UI Designer and doing something that work doesn’t mean it’s good ; it’s a start though. This is why I started searching for an UI Designer to hire. This designer will have two important missions : Reworking the interface to make it more user friendly and preparing the interface for the next big update !

What is this next big update ?

The next big update will start with the next sprint. It will bring a new feature that will give AIdventure a much more immersive experience! What exactly will it be ? I won’t tell you yet! But if you follow the development, you noticed I adopted the constant delivery approach and publish a new experimental build every time I finish a task. If you want to find out what will be this big update, stay tuned and you should guess ;)

Hiring a PR manager

As you know, I have limited time to spend on my project. This precious time must be carefully spent on what matters and what I do best : Creating AIdventure. That’s why I kind of neglected social networks and communication. First of all, I dislike it, secondly I’m not feeling at ease with it and I prefer to spend one hour improving AIdventure than one hour adding my noise in a noisy ocean.

Yet, we all know it’s important to get the world informed about your new super cool project. And to do that you need two things: To tell people and to actually have a super cool project to show! Therefore, I’m looking to hire a part time PR manager to handle my networks and all the communication strategy. The goal is to experiment and delegate this part.

Everything was possible because you bought the game, supported me on Ko-Fi, reported bugs, suggested new features, believed in this project. This is the reason why I think early access is a progress and not a decline of the video game industry. If you have some knowledge about project management you should have heard about Agile methods and philosophy : Going inside a tunnel and leaving it only when the project is done will increase the risk of delivering something off the mark or not appropriate anymore. That’s why going through small iterations and constantly improving using feedback is a cornerstone of Agile and constant delivery methods.

Besides, when you start with 0 budget and almost 0 knowledge it’s also very useful.
