Community Report of September 2025!

Hi everyone, it’s been a while!

I have good news today!

Part-time job

I finally got my part-time contract at my job.

I will have one day every week to work on AIdventure! It’s a very good thing as it will allow me to work at a regular pace and to plan stuff!

How is the development going to be ?

During the summer, I changed how I organize my work. I’m now following the Scrum way.

  • My tasks will be organized in sprint
  • A sprint has a specific objective (like bug fix, lorebook feature, etc) and a specific time. Actually, I’m going for 35h of work for each sprint.
  • At the end of each sprint, there is a new iteration. Technically, each addition has been tested, but the whole produce has not! This new iteration will be available to those who can’t wait.
  • After 4 sprints, a new release is produced (with all the test it implies)
  • This release will be pushed in experimental to be tested by you and to get feed back!
  • The previous experimental release is published as stable (if judged stable enough).
  • Repeat the process

So, to put time on all of this:

  1. An unstable small release ~every month (If the product of a sprint is complete. A feature taking two sprints to implement can’t be published half done!)
  2. A full release in experimental (to get feedback) every 4 sprints (should be 4 months if there is no delay)
  3. The stable release once I get positive feedback on the experimental release.

If an experimental release gets bad feedback, it will delay the stable release as I will have to spend time on it.
